The Carramar Social Golf Club Inc. was formed in 1995 by a small handful of enthusiastic golfers, eager to generate some competition and play on a regular basis with like-minded people. Since that day the club has grown to 100+ members, with around 60 - 75 playing every weekend in the various tournaments organised by the Match Committee. Click here to see our Fixtures.
Incorporated in 1997 (Association Rules link below), the Club meets weekly every Wednesday evening from 7pm at the Wanneroo Sports and Social Club in Crisafulli Avenue, Wanneroo. At the meetings, prizes are handed out to the preceding week's competition winners and members are informed of any handicap changes and up-and-coming social and/or golfing events. The next weekend's games, with tee-off times and playing groups, are then also announced.
The weekly meetings are conducted on a very informal basis and provide a good opportunity for members to get together socially and have a chat over one or two cold ones.
The Club is open to male and female players with membership limited to 125 members with handicaps ranging from 7 to 48, an eclectic mix as you can see. Each player has an equal chance of winning the weekly tournaments, as the handicap system is the ultimate leveler.
One of the many advantages of joining our Club is that you are able to gain an officially recognised Golf Link handicap. The Club is affiliated with Golf WA and Golf Australia and as a Club member you will have the opportunity each year, to play in a number of events at other courses.
